The country music superstar choked back tears as she sang her hit The House That Built Me live from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City and broadcast live on NBC.
At one point during the song Miranda had to take a moment away from the microphone to regain her composure.

A verse about planning for the family s dream home and building it from scratch Mama cut out pictures of houses got the singer too choked up to sing so she aimed her mic toward the crowd to let them finish the verse.
After regaining her composure Miranda finished the song but it was an emotional number that left her wiping away tears.

At the end of the song Miranda mouthed Sorry to the crowd adding I love you Oklahoma.
Miranda joined her husband Blake Shelton as well as other musical celebrities including Reba McEntire Ryan Tedder Darius Rucker Usher Rascal Flatts and Luke Bryan at the benefit (organized by Blake) to raise funds for victims of the tornado that struck Oklahoma on May 20.
Vince Gill who hails from Oklahoma dedicated his moving performance of Threaten Me with Heaven to the 24 people that didn t make it he said on stage on Wednesday night.
