Andre 3000s Mother Found Dead

On Monday Andre 3000 celebrated his 38th birthday. However the moment was not a joyous occasion because his mother unexpectedly passed away on the same day.

His mother Sharon Benjamin Hodo was reportedly found dead in her Atlanta home. Billboard.com reports that her death was confirmed by a representative for the OutKast member but no details regarding how she died have been released.

Benjamin Hodo was noted for her work with underprivileged children. She founded the Starlight Camp to continue her efforts. The foundation is run out of the New Morning Light Mission BaptistChurch in Conley Ga. Her husband Pastor Robert Hodo runs services at the church.

A rep for the rapper born Andre Benjamin requests that supporters give to his mother's the Starlight Camp rather than send flowers.
