The Utah Jazz selected Australian guard Dante Exum with the No. 5 pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.
For about a year Exum was the big mystery of this draft. We knew very little about him except for his excellent play at the Nike Hoop Summit. But he was a big combo guard who could get to the basket and had stellar defensive potential with his size and wingspan. The questions about whether or not he can shoot from outside or excel against top talent will soon be answered.
He joins a young Jazz core that already boasts a backcourt of Alec Burks and Trey Burke along with Derrick Favors Enes Kanter and possibly Gordon Hayward depending on what happens with his restricted free agency. He'll be playing under first year head coach Quin Snyder who was hired this offseason after the team parted ways with Tyrone Corbin.
CBSSports.com's Matt Moore loves this pick for the Jazz as they add to their stable of young players.
