In the wake of Will Hayden s arrest for the alleged aggravated rape of his daughter 12 the Discovery Channel has opted to cancel Sons Of Guns ahead of its sixth season.
Sons Of Guns Canceled After Will Hayden s Arrest For Allegedly Raping DaughterGiven the serious and horrific nature of the charges against William Hayden we have decided to halt further production of Sons Of Guns and cancel the series Discovery revealed in a statement to Deadline.
Sons Of Guns centered around Will Hayden s weapons shop Red Jacket Firearms where he and his team manufactured bought and sold all manner of custom made firearms.
Will Hayden Initially Arrested For Child Molestation He Insisted They Were The Claims Of A Bitter Ex GirlfriendWill was initially arrested in Louisiana for child molestation in early August after his ex girlfriend went to the police claiming that he had been molesting the child they shared according to TMZ. The daughter in question 12 is being raised by Will and his new wife and Will claimed at the time that his ex girlfriend s accusations were false and came from a place of bitterness. He made bail and was released.
After his first arrest his older daughter Stephanie who also appeared on Sons Of Guns told TMZ that There was never any impropriety in our home. He was and is a good father.
However he was picked up by police once again on August 26 after an added count of child rape following the 12 year old girl s claim that she was orally and vaginally raped almost daily but did not report it because he threatened her physically says TMZ.
He allegedly took her virginity when she was just 11 years old. The girl told police that her father would tell her Don t tell them nothing because I m all you got.
If guilty we hope that Will Hayden is dealt swift justice for this absolutely horrific crime and we re glad that the Discovery Channel made the right choice by canceling Sons Of Guns.
