Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood and her husband Mike Fisher are expecting their first child both celebrities announced Monday.

A tweet posted to Underwood's Twitter account Monday afternoon featured the couple's two dogs who helped make the announcement while dressed in matching outfits indicating that they would be the baby's siblings. Underwood's representative also confirmed the pregnancy to US Weekly on Monday afternoon.

Fisher posted a tweet of his own about 10 minutes later.

Fisher a forward for the Nashville Predators NHL hockey team since 2011 is recovering from an Achilles tendon injury which he sustained in early July according to a Predators news release at the time. Predators General Manager David Poile said in the release that Fisher will return to the hockey team in four to six months.

Underwood and 11 NFL players will take part Sunday in her performance of Waiting All Day for Sunday Night this year's opening theme for Sunday Night Football on ABC and she will help with a special opening theme for next year's Super Bowl according to a news release on Underwood's website.

Fisher and Underwood have been married since July 2010.
