NFL Power Rankings Week 8 Arizona Cardinals climb to No. 2 Detroit Lions ...

1. Denver Broncos (6 1)When Peyton Manning is playing quarterback you can't focus on taking away one receiver in the game plan. Thursday was Emmanuel Sanders' turn to eat. He finished with nine receptions and three touchdowns. (Last week 1)

2. Arizona Cardinals (6 1)The Cardinals are getting it done at home with wins over Philadelphia San Diego and San Francisco in Glendale. (Last week 5)

3. New England Patriots (6 2)Tom Brady carved up Chicago's back seven to the tune of 30 35 passing for 354 yards and five touchdowns. (Last week 10)

4. Philadelphia Eagles (5 2)The Eagles offense came to life to 511 yards but a defensive breakdown in the closing minutes allowed the Cardinals to come away with the victory. (Last week 3)

5. Detroit Lions (6 2)It wasn't pretty but this Lions team doesn't have any quit in it rallying from three scores down for the second consecutive week. (Last week 8)

6. Dallas Cowboys (6 2)Tony Romo is hurting and the Cowboys could fade quickly if left in the hands of Brandon Weeden. (Last week 2)

7. Indianapolis Colts (5 3)A week ago the Colts shut out the Bengals. They must have bought into their own hype because they let Ben Roethlisberger throw for 522 yards and six touchdowns. (Last week 4)

8. San Diego Chargers (5 3)You can't afford to come up empty handed on six of your first seven drives and expect to win in Denver. (Last week 6)

9. Cincinnati Bengals (4 2 1)The Bengals stopped the bleeding with a late game rally to sweep the season series from AFC North rival Baltimore. (Last week 12)

10. Baltimore Ravens (5 3)Joe Flacco wasn't at his best Sunday. His lone touchdown pass an 80 yard catch and run bomb to Steve Smith in the closing seconds was negated due to pass interference. (Last week 7)

11. Green Bay Packers (5 3)The Packers were moving the ball with ease against the Saints until Aaron Rodgers hurt his hamstring in the third quarter. It was all downhill after that. (Last week 9)

12. Seattle Seahawks (4 3)For the second year in a row Seattle went to Carolina and bested the Panthers in a low scoring affair thanks to a fourth quarter touchdown pass by Russell Wilson. (Last week 11)

13. San Francisco 49ers (4 3)Bye. (Last week 13)

14. Kansas City Chiefs (4 3)Kansas City has won four out of five and defensive end Justin Houston is on pace to set the single season sack record after dropping Rams quarterback Austin Davis three times. (Last week 14)

15. Buffalo Bills (5 3)The Bills defense has been feasting on opposing quarterbacks all season but they took it to another level against the Jets forcing six turnovers to go with four sacks. (Last week 15)

16. Pittsburgh Steelers (5 3)Antonio Brown doesn't get enough attention in the conversation of the NFL's best receivers. The CMU alum fueled Ben Roethlisberger's career day with 10 grabs and two touchdowns. (Last week 16)

17. Miami Dolphins (4 3)Not a banner day for the Dolphins' offense but a pair of pick sixes including one by former Lions safety Louis Delmas were enough to carry Miami to a win over the Jags. (Last week 18)

18. Houston Texans (4 4)Some wrote off Arian Foster after offseason back surgery but he's looked as good as ever in 2014 rushing for 766 yards and seven touchdowns in seven games this season. (Last week 20)

19. New Orleans Saints (3 4)Drew Brees rebounded from his awful fourth quarter in Detroit with a near flawless performance against the Packers. (Last week 23)

20. Carolina Panthers (3 4 1)The Seahawks made life rough on Cam Newton. The dual threat quarterback was held under 200 total yards. (Last week 17)

21. New York Giants (3 4)Bye. (Last week 19)

22. Cleveland Browns (4 3)The Browns offense wasn't clicking again this week but they didn't turn the ball over while forcing the Raiders to cough it up three times. (Last week 22)

23. Washington Redskins (3 5)Yeah so how about Colt McCoy University of Texas legend goes into Dallas and helps Washington stun the Cowboys. (Last week 27)

24. Minnesota Vikings (3 5)Youth ruled the day for the Vikings as rookie linebacker Anthony Barr scored the game winning touchdown on a fumble return and rookie running back Jerick McKinnon continues to churn in the backfield. (Last week 26)

25. Chicago Bears (3 5)The sky is falling in Chicago after the Bears gave up 38 points in the first half to the Patriots. (Last week 21)

26. Atlanta Falcons (2 6)Mike Smith put his team in a position to fail and the players did the rest giving a sure win back to the Lions. (Last week 25)

27. St. Louis Rams (2 5)The Rams took the opening drive 65 yards for a touchdown. They gained just 135 yards the rest of the way. (Last week 24)

28. Jacksonville Jaguars (1 7)Denard Robinson topped 100 yards rushing again Unfortunately for the Jags rookie quarterback Blake Bortles tossed a pair of pick sixes against the Dolphins. (Last week 29)

29. Tennessee Titans (2 6)No word on if Zach Mettenberger took a selfie at halftime after leading the Titans to 48 yards in total offense through two quarters in his first start. (Last week 30)

30. New York Jets (1 7)Geno Smith Michael Vick it doesn't matter. Neither one is able to protect the football. (Last week 28)

31. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1 6)Having a fumble returned for a touchdown on the opening play of overtime is a creative way to lose. (Last week 31)

32. Oakland Raiders (0 7)We get that it was on a fake field goal but it just felt right seeing Matt Schaub throw an interception. (Last week 32)
