In a note out Monday morning Bank of America analyst Robert F. Ohmes likes Michael Kors Holdings Ltd (NYSE KORS) and Dicks Sporting Goods Inc (NYSE DKS) as his top picks for the holiday season.
Ohmes said Michael Kors was a clear standout on Black Friday as traffic and sell thrus appeared high at full price stores and in Macy's handbag shop in shops especially when compared to peers.
He went on to say that KORS remains our Top Pick is winning the millennial mindshare race according to our recent handbag survey has a top 5 social media following and we expect EPS upside to continue to be driven by powerful multi channel sales growth.
Dicks Sporting Goods had strong traffic on Black Friday (most locations opened 5 p.m. Thursday) supported by an increased TV/digital marketing effort (including collaborative marketing with key brands) according to Ohmes.
