This week on The Voice Did the last female singer make it to the final 5

This is one of the toughest parts of the season. Three singers must go. Three. And it's pretty tight race between some of these performers. Honestly it's all very dependent on who is watching the show live and who will actually live tweet to save their favorite singer.

This week on The Voice we're going to lose some quality singers but that means we're one step closer toward crowning our winner.

Top two performances of the week

DamienThe Damien we know and love is back. Singing Adele's Someone Like You he almost brings us to tears. He's truly able to translate the pain and emotion of the song in his voice as well as hit the right notes in his own unique way. Damien is an RB singer at heart but he can do so much more. This performance was particularly intimate and it made us feel a little bit more connected to the contestant. You go Damien

Matt McAndrewAnyone who knows The Blower's Daughter by Damien Rice (particularly from the ending scene of Closer) had high expectations for this song. And thankfully these expectations were met. Matt performed this song with emotional dedication and vulnerability that many other singers in the competition lack. While he changed up the melody a bit throughout he still kept true to the overall tone of the song. Matt McAndrew proves that sometimes the biggest gaudiest voices or personalities aren't always the ones to prevail.

Bottom four singers

DaNica ShireyThe only female left in the competition it's a little upsetting that she's in the bottom three. However she might have overdone it with her performance of Heart's These Dreams. In her last chance performance DaNica sings I'd Rather Go Blind by Etta James and it's a little underwhelming.

Her coach pleads her case Everyone back home at NBC TV land they saw that they heard that and I'm clear that they felt that. I'm just asking America to go with what you felt. She has a super bright future and I'm going to be involved Pharrell says.

Ryan SillOh Ryan. You're still adorable but perhaps it's time for you to go. While he definitely has a solid voice there's nothing particularly special about Ryan. On Monday night Ryan sang Open Arms by Journey and it felt too calculated and the song was just too big for his voice.

To save himself Ryan performs Bryan Adams' Heaven and while he's charismatic and hard working Ryan doesn't do it for us.

His coach pleads his case The reason why you keep getting saved is because you're so good at singing. That performance was so effortless and relaxed Gwen says.

Luke WadeA once fan favorite Luke Wade has slowly become pretty average competition. On Monday he performed Simply Red s Holding Back the Years and it seemed as if Luke had forgotten some lyrics or missed a cue. It just seemed like a struggle.

To save himself Luke sings Ben E King's Stand By Me a classic. But again it was somewhat off. Luke has a unique voice for sure. But at this point in the competition you need to serve a little more than a unique sound.

His coach pleads his case I loved it. It's the toughest thing. They saw you they heard you. Everyone here they felt that. Both of you guys are amazing. The music inside of you everyone deserves to hear Pharrell says.

Chris JamisonChris Chris Chris. We're sad that you're in the bottom four. His performance of Marvin Gaye's Sexual Healing wasn't anything spectacular but it was entertaining and well executed. What can we say We're just a fan.

And thus to save himself Chris sings Ray Charles' Georgia On My Mind and he kills it. He absolutely kills it and there's no doubt (at least in our minds) that he deserves to stay.

His coach pleads his case This kid has worked so hard for every single thing he's achieved. He was in the bottom very early on worked his way back has stuck around. The way he approaches singing with sweetness and passion he's an absolute monster. Tonight he was not in the top four but i will tell you this. Chris Jamison is in the top five. There's no kid that deserves it more. I'm saying we should save him America Adam says.

Who was saved Chris Jamison and by 50% thank goodness.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SAVING ME I love you all and OBVIOUSLY would not be here without all of you VoiceSaveChris

Chris Jamison ( iamchrisjamison) December 3 2014

So we say goodbye to the last girl in the competition and we're left with our final five performers. Something to note Team Adam or Adam's top three to be more precise is fully intact. Also joining Damien Matt and Chris in the final five are Taylor John Williams and Craig Wayne Boyd.
