Ohio State beat Alabama 42 35 in the 2015 Sugar Bowl. Here are three stars from the game

Cardale Jones quarterback Ohio State

The game for the Buckeyes turned around with the play of Jones. He completed five of his first 13 passes with the last being an interception that set up the touchdown Alabama scored to go ahead 21 6. He followed by leading touchdown drives of 71 and 77 yards before halftime and opened the second half by completing four of five on a drive capped by his 47 yard touchdown pass to Devin Smith. The 6 foot 5 250 pound sophomore followed the interception by completing 13 of his next 18 for 182 yards and the touchdown to Smith. His run of 27 yards also helped set up a touchdown late in the first half.

Ezekiel Elliott running back Ohio State

His 85 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter all but secured the Buckeyes' spot in the College Football Playoff championship game Jan. 12 against Oregon. He went left after a handoff from Cardale Jones and darted forward untouched to the end zone. The run also made up for an early fumble that led to an Alabama touchdown. The 6 foot 225 pound sophomore finished with 20 carries for 230 yards and two touchdowns the other from 3 yards out in the second quarter. His 54 yard run in the first quarter set up a field goal.

JK Scott punter Alabama

The freshman from Denver booted five of his seven punts longer than 50 yards and gave Ohio State an average starting field position at the Buckeye 11. Ohio State turnovers after two of those punts in the first half helped set up Alabama for two of the touchdowns that put the Tide ahead 21 6 in the second quarter. One bouncing punt went 73 yards to the Ohio State 10 before a return of 10 yards. His performance shone bright on a night Alabama quarterback Blake Sims was intercepted three times in the second half.
