Super Bowl 2015 game day weather forecast Hoping the game is as good as ...

Super Bowl XLIX is here and kicks off later today at 6 30 p.m. ET at University of Phoenix Stadium. The stadium has a retractable roof. With such nice weather expected Sunday afternoon and evening for Phoenix I recommend the NFL rolls down the windows (or open the roof) and enjoy the nice winter weather in the Desert Southwest.

High pressure just off the California coast will bring in a nice dry flow over Arizona. The temperatures will be very pleasant in the upper 60s to near 70 by kickoff and remain nice and mild through the game. Winds will not be an issues as they should be fairly light and variable. Some winds could come out of the south and maybe get up to 5 mph.

Weather will not cause any problems for any at the Super Bowl this year. Here's hoping the game on the field is just as good as the weather. For those curious temperatures are not expected to drop enough to cause any footballs to lose air pressure.

Before we get down to Super Bowl business let's preempt some nonsense we'll probably here at various points throughout the day.

Yes Wisconsin fans can claim Russell Wilson.

Yes UW can too.

Yes they should because he almost won them a Rose Bowl.

Yes they should because Russell Wilson became Russell Wilson at Wisconsin after he was Russell Wilson N.C. State quarterback.

Man this season. The way he started the season in that trouncing of UNLV. That freaking Nebraska game. And yes the Rose Bowl. He almost won that damn thing. I still curse The Football Gods for not knocking that Jared Abbrederis fumble out of bounds.

In the NFL Russ was still Russ this season. Some of his passing numbers might've been down but when you factor in his rushing totals you could argue that 2014 was his best pro season.

The Seahawks finished the regular season 12 4 won the NFC West and defeated the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers ( ( ) en route to the Super Bowl.

Notes Former Patriot Junior Seau headlines 2015 Hall of Fame class

PHOENIX Linebacker Junior Seau was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday one of eight members of the Class of 2015.

Seau gained entry in his first year of eligibility.

In addition to Seau running back Jerome Bettis wide receiver Tim Brown defensive end/linebacker Charles Haley and offensive lineman Will Shields make up the players of the Class of 15 former general managers Bill Polian and Ron Wolf were selected in the contributor category and senior nominee Mick Tingelhoff rounded out the group.

Seau who died of a self inflicted gunshot wound in 2012 just three years after playing his last game is best known for playing 13 years for his hometown San Diego Chargers but spent the final four years of his remarkable career with the Patriots.

For three years in between he played for the Dolphins traded to Miami by the Chargers after 200 games and nearly 1 500 tackles.

Seau tore his Achilles tendon in 2005 and was released by the Dolphins in March 2006. During training camp later that year he announced his retirement but preferred to call it his graduation.

Only his retirement lasted just four days. Bill Belichick called Seau and talked him into playing for the Patriots sweetening the deal by essentially giving him permission to skip training camp as long as he was in shape.

Seau played 11 games for the Patriots in his first season before breaking his right arm against the Bears infusing his trademark enthusiasm into the New England defense.

In the locker room he spoke fondly of surfing which he loved but admitted he wasn t very good at and talked of playing the ukulele an instrument played in his family s native Samoa.

Seau also called everyone teammates and media alike Buddy. He didn t often memorize names but it was an endearing habit.

He returned in 2007 and played all 19 games remarkable considering he was 38 by the time the Patriots played in Super Bowl XLII.

Patriots coach Bill Belichick said that Junior Seau s election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame has obviously got to happen.

New England players wanted to win the Super Bowl that year not just for themselves and for the feat of recording the league s first 19 0 season but also spoke of winning for Seau who had played in just one other Super Bowl with the Chargers in 1995.

It was the last full season of his career Seau played four games late in the 2008 season for the injury riddled Patriots defense and seven more in 2009.

He announced his retirement for a second time in January 2010.

This week Belichick said Seau s election to the Hall has obviously got to happen.

I can t imagine having a Professional Football Hall of Fame without Junior Seau in it Belichick said. The one word that comes to me when I think of Junior in life and football is passion. He s a very passionate guy a lot of energy lot of enthusiasm.

First guy in the building in the morning watching film lifting weights ready for practice always loved to practice flying around on the practice field energy before the game on the sideline during the game. An emotional player but a smart player.

Everybody in the locker room loved Junior. They loved what he did and they loved the way that he interacted with the team. He was a great player. I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to coach him.

Born in San Diego Seau starred at Southern California before the Chargers drafted him fifth overall in 1990. In his NFL career he played 268 games (234 starts) with 1 522 tackles 56 sacks 18 interceptions 11 forced fumbles and 18 fumble recoveries. He was a 12 time Pro Bowler and six time Associated Press first team All Pro selection.

Gronkowski feted

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski won The Associated Press NFL Comeback Player Of The Year award.

The unanimous All Pro received 27 votes from a nationwide panel of 50 media members followed by Philadelphia receiver Jeremy Maclin and Dallas linebacker Rolando McClain with seven apiece.

Gronkowski played in seven games in 2013 because of knee problems. He returned in style that style being powerful and aggressive with 82 catches for 1 124 yards and 12 TDs.

Irsay speaks

Colts owner Jim Irsay said he s confident NFL investigators will figure out how Patriots footballs got deflated in the AFC Championship game.

I think Ted Wells and Jeff Pash are going to dig into it be very detailed. Irsay said before the NFL Honors show in Phoenix. Every play in the playoffs is so important.

Every aspect is so important. You want to make sure you have a level playing field but they are a great team and a great franchise and we have a great rivalry with them And we look forward to playing them. I am confident that they will thoroughly look into it and find out what happened.

Rodgers is MVP Aaron Rodgers was awarded his second Most Valuable Player award in somewhat surprisingly easy fashion.

Rodgers who also took the honor in 2011 received 31 votes. Houston s J.J. Watt seeking to become the first defensive player to win since 1986 got 13 votes.

Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner received one each.

Rodgers threw for 38 TDs and five interceptions.

Watt did earn a consolation prize He was a unanimous choice for Defensive Player of the Year.

He is the first unanimous choice for an AP award since Tom Brady won Most Valuable Player in 2007.

Watt had 20 sacks 50 quarterback hits 4 forced fumbles and 10 blocked passes. He also scored five touchdowns.

He is the first NFL player with multiple 20 sack seasons.

DeMarco Murray ran off with the Offensive Player Of The Year award. The Dallas Cowboys running back led the league in rushing with 1 845 yards . Gronkowski got one vote.

A desert sweep

Bruce Arians won the Coach Of The Year award for the second time in three years with different teams. Arians led Arizona to an 11 5 record despite losing his top two quarterbacks. In 2012 Arians stepped in for an ill Chuck Pagano and helped the Indianapolis Colts to the playoffs becoming the first interim coach to win the award. Bill Belichick earned one vote . . . Todd Bowles won the first Assistant Coach Of The Year award. Bowles won it as defensive coordinator of the Cardinals. He has since become the coach of the New York Jets . . . The Giants s sensational wideout Odell Beckham Jr. grabbed the Offensive Rookie Of The Year award. The 12th overall pick in the draft received 42 votes. Beckham finished with 91 receptions for 1 305 yards and 12 TDs . . . St. Louis Rams tackle Aaron Donald won the Defensive Rookie Of The Year award. Selected one spot after Beckham Donald drew 25 votes. Donald led all rookies with nine sacks.

Bruce Jenner s increasingly feminized appearance has been the subject of tabloid covers for months. And now People confirms that the former Olympian will soon be living life as a woman.

Bruce is transitioning to a woman reveals a source close to the family. He is finally happy and his family is accepting of what he's doing. He's in such a great space. That's why it's the perfect time to do something like this.

Another insider says the 65 year old reality star is also filming a docu series that will be shown this year.

It will air when he is ready to be open about his transition the source tells People. But he's acting more and more confident and seems very happy.

The insider also divulges that Jenner has slowly been transitioning in part so that his family would have time to adapt.

He's being very smart about and also respectful about his transition the insider says. Instead of completely shocking everyone his changes have been subtle and his family has had the chance to slowly get used to his new looks and life.

And his family including children Cassandra 34 Burt 36 (with ex wife Chrystie Crownover ) and sons Brandon 33 and Brody 31 (with ex wife Linda Thompson) as well as daughters Kendall 19 and Kylie 17 (with Kris Jenner) are supportive of their father and want him to be happy.

But reportedly not everyone in the family is pleased.

It is an intense thing admits a family source. Of course not everyone is 100 percent on board. Different people have different reactions. But everybody loves him.

Jenner has reportedly come out to those closest to him and he s thrilled.

He's so happy and excited said. He gets to lay down a huge bag of bricks. He's been through a dark period and is coming out on the other side.

Police Bobbi Kristina Brown Is Still Alive

Officer Lisa Holland of the Roswell Police Department held a press conference on Saturday to update news outlets on the condition of Bobbi Kristina Brown.

She began by recounting the timeline of Saturday's events when Brown was found unresponsive in her bathtub.

This morning around 10 23 we received a 9 1 1 call of a person unresponsive face down in a bathtub. We arrived on the scene and found Bobbi Kristina Brown was unresponsive she said in a video posted by FOX 5 Atlanta WAGA. Her husband Nick Gordon had found her in the bathtub and started performing CPR on her. A friend in the house called 9 1 1 and our officers arrived within minutes and took over the life saving measures continued on with the CPR until the ambulance arrived and transported her to North Fulton Hospital.

Officer Holland was unable to elaborate on Brown's current medical status but did confirm she's still alive.

Right now I can't comment on any condition because of the HIPAA laws but I can tell you she is still alive Officer Holland stated.

She did provide additional details about what police observed upon arriving on the scene Saturday morning.

As far as I know there was nothing concerning initially to the police or that there was any signs of struggle or that there was any reason to believe anything suspicious happened she said.

An active investigation is ongoing at Brown's Atlanta residence according to the officer.

The detectives are still out on the scene at the house. We don't know if this was a medical condition where she had a problem in the tub or if it was any type of self initiated or overdose type of situation so the detectives are out on the scene still talking to people that were inside the house family members and friends inside the residence and they'll still be out there for a while to make sure that you know no stone is left uncovered Officer Holland explained.

At the press conference she added that investigators haven't found prescription drugs at the home but had obtained a search warrant to thoroughly search the premises.

Any time we enter a house for an investigation that's just a protocol that we get a search warrant so that we can check every area of the house for anything illegal or to clear up what caused this problem to happen Officer Holland said.

This is second time Roswell Police have been dispatched to Brown's home this month Officer Holland shared.

We were out there just recently. We were called on January 23rd for a fight she revealed. The person that called 9 1 1 was not at the scene when they called us. They said there was some type of disturbance or a fight at this house. When we arrived it was around 8 o'clock at night. There was no disturbance. Nobody home.

Brown's mother Whitney Houston died nearly three years ago under similar circumstances. The late singer was found in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles on February 11 2012.

Officer Holland commented on the eerie similarities between the cases of the mother and daughter.

It is very bizarre that this same situation happens. I feel very badly for the friends and the family and for her. Our thoughts and prayers are definitely with this family Officer Holland expressed. I can't say enough how sad this makes everybody. Any time we go to anybody's house and we have to help revive somebody I mean it is a difficult situation for a police officer who actually had to physically perform CPR on this person whether it be Bobbi Kristina or any citizen. It's very difficult.

Olivia Munn helps Aaron Rodgers rob J.J. Watt of his rightful MVP Hollywood ...

The kidding about J.J. Watt's standing in the quarterback obsessed NFL starts early on the NFL Honors league award show.

I'm kind of surprised they put you in the front row with all the quarterbacks model Chrissy Teigen script jokes when she and Watt take the stage to present the first award of the night. It's all fun and games until you get robbed of an MVP Award.

And it's no laughing matter a few hours later when the league MVP that Watt clearly earned is given to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The fact that everyone knew this was coming doesn't make it any easier to stomach.

When a beaming Rodgers heads toward the stage the NBC cameras flash to Watt who is sitting there stone faced clapping. There will be no fake Oscar smile for J.J.

The Houston Texans $100 Million Man knows he should have won the MVP. The fact that only 13 of the 50 media members who vote for NFL Honors saw that is a testament to how messed up and flawed the current voting system is. (The fact that the 13 MVP votes received is the most any defensive player has ever garnered under the current 50 vote system does not alter this larger truth).

There are two year olds who are less over dramatic than Olivia Munn's man.

And as Watt sits there stone faced clapping it's easy to imagine him churning over the latest snub fuel that will undoubtedly push his relentless workouts at that spartan isolated log cabin he recently purchased to even more insane levels.

New Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Wade Phillips a man who deserves a good share of credit for the Texans drafting Watt (and is never afraid to take it) quickly tweeted I guess J.J. will have to play QB next year.

Quarterback bias definitely hurt J.J. Watt. But Aaron Rodgers' newfound Hollywood ways and vastly underrated acting skills helped steal the MVP.

It turns out that Olivia Munn is an accomplice to this robbery.

Forget the fact that Watt put together a truly historic season while Rodgers didn't even produce a career year. After all the voters clearly did. It is Rodgers' histrionics rather than his overblown 38 to 5 touchdowns to interceptions ratio that gave him the chance to gush about Munn on stage.

By playing up an injury in a nationally showcased showdown with the Detroit Lions in Week 17 Rodgers showed going Hollywood truly pays. Only Aaron Rodgers could turn a little calf injury into something worthy of what the hero from American Sniper went through.

There are two year olds who are less over dramatic than Munn's man.

For when Rodgers briefly went out against the Lions he milked his boo boo for all it was worth. And then some. Rodgers clearly purposefully waited until the second half already began to walk about onto the field guaranteeing that his return stroll would suck all the attention to him and highlighted his supposed courage.

It worked too. Fox's lead voice Joe Buck all but nominated Rodgers for a Purple Heart on air. The Lambeau faithful broke into an echoing MVP MVP MVP chant that provided the perfect Hollywood soundtrack to Rodgers' theatrical stroll back.

That clip got played everywhere. There it is again during the NFL Honors broadcast serving as the build up to Rodgers' ill gotten gains.

Next season Watt apparently won't just have to rewrite the record books (again) to win his MVP. He'll need to hire a full time acting coach. And maybe land his own celebrity girlfriend to get him in the tabloids.

J.J. Watt's Trophy Haul

In a way it's a shame that Watt's MVP snub obscures the other trophy win he does walk away with. Of course Watt does take his second NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award in three years. The idea of someone else winning this honor is so ridiculous that no one even tries to pretend it's even a possibility.

The intro to the defensive honor is just one long run of J.J. Watt clips.

That's what happens when you're the first unanimous Defensive Player of the Year ever. Even Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck the most over the top diplomat in NFL history notes on stage I think it's obvious before the Defensive Player of the Year presentation begins.

Decked out in a plaid sports coat and blue pants Watt presents a sharp contrast to the clearly stylized ultra expensive thin cut suit wearing Rodgers. His acceptance speech is similarly humble.

I wasn't ready for that Watt says after seeing the No. 99 video montage. That was special.

Then the Texans superstar starts talking about the people that few even recognize let alone see as special. It takes so many people to make what you see there Watt begins.

. . . It's the people in the cafeteria making the food. Lots of food . . .

It's all fun and games until you get robbed of an MVP Award.

That line draws one of the biggest laughs of the night but Watt's not done. There's just so many people behind the scenes. To all those people thank you very much he says.

Watt's speech brings up memories of the unforgettably touching one Kevin Durant delivered on winning NBA MVP. It's hard to imagine what Watt would have said if he won NFL MVP.

America is robbed of that moment. In no small part because Aaron Rodgers plays the slick Hollywood game better.

The best player in football That's J.J. Watt. The most overly dramatic That's your fake MVP.

Langston Hughes 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Today s Google Doodle celebrates Langston Hughes 113th birthday and his poem I Dream a World. It also marks the beginning of Black History Month 2015.

Hughes was a key player in the Harlem Renaissance and became well known after its zenith as a poet civil rights activist novelist playwright and journalist. He traveled throughout the world as an ambassador for black causes having built himself from humble beginnings on the Midwest plains.

Here s what you need to know about him.

1. He Had an Eclectic Ancestry

He was born on February 1 1902 in Joplin Missouri making today his would be 113th birthday. He died in 1967 at the age of 65 but not before making himself a name as a poet civil rights activist novelist playwright and journalist.

He came from an eclectic ancestry. While his work would focus on black culture Hughes himself was part Scottish Jewish French English and Native American.

He spent most of his childhood in Lawrence Kansas.

2. He Traveled A Lot

Hughes traveled a lot in his youth. For a short stint he lived in Mexico with his father. He then attended Columbia University in New York City but left because of racial prejudice. He then joined the S.S. Malone in 1923 and traveled Europe and Africa. Upon returning to the United States he enrolled in Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. Lincoln University is the United States first degree granting historically African American university. He graduated with a B.A. and moved to Harlem.

He spent the remainder of his life in Harlem and New Jersey with trips to Asia and Russia due to his interest in communism. He also spent some time in the Caribbean.

3. He Was Involved With the Harlem Renaissance

Hughes was a key player in the Harlem Renaissance. His poetry became well known in the mid to late 1920s. He was known for his pedestrian style. A famous poem of his from the time is The Negro Speaks of Rivers from The Weary Blues (1926)

My soul has grown deep like the rivers.

I bathed in the Euphrates when dawns were young. I built my hut near the Congo and it lulled me to sleep. I looked upon the Nile and raised the pyramids above it. I heard the singing of the Mississippi when Abe Lincoln went down to New Orleans and I ve seen its muddy bosom turn all golden in the sunset .

With all his writings Hughes hoped to unite black culture.

4. He Was an Accused Communist Homosexual

Hughes was also interested in communism which was common amongst African Americans in the 1920s as they saw it as a commonsense way to equality. Hughes wrote poems about communism and published some political works but never fully joined the cause. Despite traveling to Soviet Russia and China he refrained from fully calling himself a communist. But this didn t stop other people from calling him one.

Some biographers and academics also consider Hughes to have been a homosexual as his poems could be construed as having a gay undertone to them similar to Walt Whitman. Hughes never married.

Hughes alleged homosexuality was also put on display in a film about him titled Looking for Langston which came out in 1989. British filmmaker Isaac Julien made the film which was not an autobiographical film but more about being black and gay in the Harlem Renaissance through the eyes of Hughes.

Hughes sexuality was also commented on in Spike Lee s Get on the Bus (1996) where a black gay character (Isaiah Washington) punches a homophobic man saying This is for James Baldwin and Langston Hughes.

5. He Wrote I Dream a World

Hughes left behind a rich catalogue of over 50 works that include fiction non fiction poems children books and political writings. His involvement of the growth of the African American community was cut short age 65 when he died due to complications of surgery from prostate cancer.

Hughes was cremated after his death and his remains are interred beneath a floor medallion in the middle of the foyer in the Arthur Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in Harlem. The medallion has a quote from one of his more famous poems The Negro Speaks of Rivers (1920) which reads My soul has grown deep like the rivers.

Bobbi Kristina Brown in Stable Condition Says Family Friend

A day after Bobbi Kristina Brown was hospitalized after being found unresponsive at her home a source close to the family tells PEOPLE she is stable at the hospital.

According to the police Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown's 21 year old daughter was found facedown in the bathtub by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend in their Roswell Georgia home on Saturday morning.

Gordon started CPR and a police officer took over life saving saving measures until an ambulance arrived the Roswell Police Department said on their Facebook page. Brown was then rushed to North Fulton Hospital where family and friends stood vigil.

It's expectedly a very tense time for the family says the source. And they are closing in on protecting Krissy.

As of Saturday evening Brown had been placed on a ventilator according to ET. However the hospital or family has yet to release an update on her condition.

It's been a difficult time for Bobbi Kristina who's struggled in the years after her mother's death the source added. Brown's incident comes days shy of the three year anniversary of Houston's death on February 11 2012 when she was found in an a bathtub in Los Angeles after an accidental drowning caused by a combination of drug use and heart disease.

Brown has been vacillating between extremes for a while now and is fighting grief and demons of her own creation the source continued. The loss of her mom and her intense craving for attention of any sort are just the tip of her mountain of issues.

Brown's cousin Jerod Brown told Sky News on Saturday that she is currently doing fine.

She's pretty good right now she's around family Jerod said. We're just praying for a speedy recovery that's it.

When asked about the upcoming anniversary of her mother's death Jerod said she is in good spirits.

Of course she goes through the grieving because it's still fresh but other than that she's doing fine.

Jerod also shared his family's thanks for the outpouring of support for his cousin.

The Race For Mitt Romneys Donors

DES MOINES Iowa (AP) Mitt Romney's exit from the presidential campaign has unleashed a frenzy of fresh fundraising and set off a new race for the backing of donors who had remained loyal to the 2012 Republican nominee.

Big dollars were said to flow immediately on Friday to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush who already had won over several of Romney's past donors. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie claimed the support of others who were waiting on Romney to make a decision about whether to seek the White House a third time.

Tony Carbonetti a Christie supporter and top aide to former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani a 2008 GOP candidate said every major Republican donor got at least two calls on Friday one from Christie's people and one from those promoting Bush.

Romney Carbonetti said released the hounds.

None of the Republicans considering a run for president has formally entered the race. But most have established political committees that effectively serve as campaigns in waiting of varying sophistication. That step allows the politicians to raise money to pay for travel staff and the logistics of getting ready to run for the White House.

The competition for donors to those organizations is fierce with commitments signaling the potential strength of a nascent campaign and laying the groundwork for more fundraising to come.

Romney raised more than $57 million before the first voting in 2012 and that figure is often cited as this campaign's benchmark.

Even before Romney's announcement Friday Bush had picked off several of Romney's past supporters. Among them was Lisa Wagner a top Midwest fundraiser for Romney in 2012 who pushed hard to win over others Friday.

I've raised a million dollars in the four hours since he announced that I otherwise would not have raised she said. Her converts included Bill Kunkler part of Chicago's wealthy Crown family who had been holding out for Romney.

I'll work for Jeb. Period. And no one else he said.

Christie had his own pickups. None was more significant than Bobbie Kilberg a Virginia based fundraiser who said she and her husband were all in for the former federal prosecutor.

We will support him financially and we will be bundlers for him she told The Associated Press referring to the practice of rounding up donations from friends family and colleagues for a campaign.

Ray Washburne the outgoing finance chairman of the Republican National Committee has taken up the same position with Christie's political action committee. Washburne said his phone started ringing early Friday.

It's been very very positive. A lot of people that were kind of fence sitters have come off the fence he said. We've been very very encouraged.

Others were too upset or stunned by Romney's announcement to decide what to do next. That includes Bill Simmons a Washington based donor who raised money for both of Romney's previous campaigns.

I haven't fully thought about the next step he said.

He said Romney's announcement was like seeing his favorite team lose in the playoffs and then having to decide for whom to cheer in the Super Bowl. I guess I'll watch the game a little bit.

Romney's flirtation with the race may have created space for a third candidate to compete alongside Bush and Christie for the support of establishment minded donors and fundraisers.

With his exit there is now room for someone else to step into that spot. In the hours after Romney's announcement several GOP donors said Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker appeared to have the edge.

The news came at the end of a big week for Walker. He earned a standing ovation from a conservative crowd at a forum in Iowa last Saturday. The next day he spoke to wealthy conservatives in California at an event organized by the billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch.

Walker ended the week in Washington as the guest of wealthy Republican donor Fred Malek.

Walker fits into that mainstream group and this means he's getting a lot of interest and attention lately said Republican consultant Charlie Black.

So too might Florida Sen. Marco Rubio who spent the week courting donors on the West Coast Texas and Chicago after attending the Koch brothers' event.

Few donors interviewed after Romney's announcement mentioned the several candidates likely to compete to the right of Christie and Bush. That group includes Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul Texas Sen. Ted Cruz former Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

Mitt was going to probably occupy a different place on the shelf than me Huckabee said. I don't know that it has any impact on support donors. It probably has a bigger impact on Jeb Bush and Chris Christie.

South Carolina political strategist Warren Tomkins warned against singling out any one candidate or type of candidate as the clear beneficiary of Romney's decision.

It still goes back to having a good message and a good messenger said Tompkins Romney's South Carolina campaign chairman in 2012. If you've got that then at some point you get momentum and then the money will come.

Super Bowl 2015 schedule for Patriots vs. Seahawks What to watch on game day

Super Bowl Sunday is officially here. The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks are set to meet for Super Bowl 49 in just a matter of hours. The game is scheduled to get underway at 6 30 p.m. ET shortly after a national anthem from Idina Menzel and America The Beautiful from John Legend.

Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are looking for their fourth Lombardi Trophy together and as the top seed in the AFC they've got as good a shot as anyone at beating the defending champion Seahawks. New England took down the Baltimore Ravens in the Divisional Round and the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC Championship to make it this far.

Seattle took down the Carolina Panthers in the Divisional Round and though they had a tough go at it they managed to beat the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship. Seattle is trying to be the first team to repeat as Super Bowl champions since the Patriots did it a decade ago.

Both teams finished the season at 12 4 atop their respective conferences with the bulk of their losses coming on the road. Seattle shows better in multiple key categories namely on the defensive side of the ball where the Seahawks rank first in the league against the pass and third against the run. They also come in at first in the league in running the ball so Marshawn Lynch should be a focal point for Seattle.

But New England is a lot better at stopping the run than they are stopping the pass so the Seahawks may have to rely on Russell Wilson and the league's No. 27 passing attack. Wilson and the rest of the offense have performed much better in the postseason than they have in the regular season going back to their dominant run last year. This is a close one by every measure but it could well come down to Tom Brady vs. Lynch at the end of the day.

Aside from the pregame music from Menzel and Legend the halftime show will feature Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz. If you're in or around Glendale Ariz. for the game the last day to take in the NFL Experience is also Sunday you can find a list of events for that here.

The game is set for 6 30 p.m. and will be broadcast by NBC. The pregame coverage of the Super Bowl begins at 12 p.m. on Sunday and will run until game time. It will feature a look at the Super Bowl XLIX Tailgate Party an official NFL party with celebrity interviews and other things of that nature. Online streams will be available via NBC Sports and via Verizon's NFL Mobile.

The game will be available internationally in over 45 countries. Some of the well known countries getting the game on television include Italy Norway England Australia Ireland Mexico and Canada. The Super Bowl will also be broadcast on the radio in the latter two countries.

ISIS Releases Video Purportedly Showing Beheading of Japanese Hostage ...

The Islamist terror group ISIS claims it has beheaded a Japanese journalist a week after beheading another Japanese hostage and demanding the release of a would be suicide bomber.

A video released Saturday claimed that reporter Kenji Goto was executed after a Thursday deadline for Jordan to release prisoner Sajida al Rishawi was not met. The tape appears consistent with other ISIS hostage videos according to Flashpoint Intelligence a global security firm and NBC News consultant.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe condemned the apparent murder which was the second Japanese citizen the group has claimed to have executed and vowed that Japan will never succumb to terrorism.

The government has done everything in its power but I cannot but feel the deepest regret Abe said at an emergency cabinet meeting Sunday local time. I am extremely angered by this immoral and despicable act or terrorism. I cannot help but feel extreme regret by the result. We will never forgive the terrorists.

ISIS had threatened to execute Goto and Jordanian pilot 1st Lt. Mu'ath al Kasaesbeh if al Rishawi was not freed within 24 hours. She was on death row in Jordan after her explosives failed to detonate during a 2005 attack on a hotel in the capital of Amman.

Jordan demanded proof of life of the two captives while Japan's Deputy Foreign Minister Yasuhide Nakayama told reporters Saturday that the situation was a stalemate.

ISIS initially demanded a ransom of $200 million for the release of Goto and fellow Japanese captive Haruna Yukawa. Goto had apparently ventured into Syria to rescue Yukawa who was taken hostage last summer. However ISIS released a video on Jan. 24 claiming it had beheaded Yukawa and demanding al Rishawi's release instead.

ISIS later said they would also execute al Kaseasbeh if al Rishawi was not freed. Al Kasaesbeh has been held by ISIS since his fighter jet crashed in Syria in December. ISIS made no mention of the pilot in Saturday's video.

Japanese broadcaster NHK read a statement Sunday from Goto's mother Junko Ishido after the new video was released. Right now I am too shaken up and in no condition to choose the right words the statement read. He went to save his fellow countryman. Please understand his bravery and kindness .

Both Japanese and U.S. officials said they were working to authenticate the tape. Abe vowed to increase Japan's humanitarian assistance to the Middle East and said Japan will resolutely fulfill its responsibility by uniting with the global effort to fight terrorism.

Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga told reporters that We cannot suppress the extreme anger that such an immoral and despicable terrorist act was repeated again. Again we condemn this act

President Barack Obama said in a statement that The United States condemns the heinous murder of Japanese citizen and journalist Kenji Goto.

Through his reporting Mr. Goto courageously sought to convey the plight of the Syrian people to the outside world Obama said. Our thoughts are with Mr. Goto's family and loved ones and we stand today in solidarity with Prime Minister Abe and the Japanese people in denouncing this barbaric act.

Bobbi Kristina Brown alive and breathing

Bobbi Kristina Brown the daughter of the late Whitney Houston and RB singer Bobby Brown has been placed in a medically induced coma after she was found unresponsive in a bathtub full of water a family source told CNN.

Brown 21 was found by her husband Nick Gordon and a friend at her Roswell Georgia home at 10 23 a.m. Saturday according to police. Authorities say Brown was not breathing at the time she was found.

Gordon and his friend called 911 and began CPR on her. After police and rescue crews arrived to the home Brown was taken to North Fulton Hospital.

Authorities say Brown is now breathing at the hospital but it's not known if she's breathing on her own or via a ventilator. Police are treating the case as a medical incident.

She is still alive and breathing. Other than that I don't know what caused her condition said Roswell police spokeswoman Lisa Holland.

The incident draws eerie parallels to the death of her mother. Houston was found dead February 11 2012 in a bathtub at a Beverly Hills California hotel the night before the Grammy Awards.

According to her autopsy Houston's death was ruled as an accidental drowning but atherosclerotic heart disease and cocaine use were listed as contributing factors.

Video After UFC 183 Nick Diaz says hes tired of losing fights

LAS VEGAS Given the circumstances Nick Diaz said he s not all that unhappy with how he fought at UFC 183. However he also admits he s getting sick and tired of losing fights.

I m kind of tired of being a loser Diaz told MMAjunkie at Saturday s post UFC 183 news conference. I m still here but I m losing all these fights.

On Saturday Diaz (26 10 MMA 7 7 UFC) faced Anderson Silva (34 6 MMA 18 2 UFC) in the main event of UFC 183 at Las Vegas MGM Grand Garden Arena. It was Diaz s first fight in nearly two years after electing to sit on the sidelines following a March 2013 loss to George St Pierre.

The fight didn t exactly produce the fireworks many expected from the two striking specialists but Diaz s sharp counters seemed to leave Silva unwilling to over extend himself. Of course that immediately encouraged Diaz to start talking trash and flailing around even dropping to the floor at one point to mock his opponent.

I kind of lose my sh t in there when people do that Diaz said. I think he probably knows that. But I could see his punches coming a mile away. The more he punched the more he was going to end up with the sh t end of the stick so he wasn t going to punch or anything.

Diaz admitted he struggled with several challenges heading into the matchup. His left arm required cortisone shots Diaz said limiting his punching power for quite some time. He also explained there was unrest in his camp which seems to be a constant struggle for the former Strikeforce champ.

Despite the loss which was one sided on the judges cards Diaz s fans seemed content with his effort and the brawler earned healthy applause for his effort.

Just 31 years old Diaz seems destined for more big fights but his love hate relationship with the sport leaves that anything but a certainty. Asked to speculate on his next move Diaz admitted he needed more time.

Sure fans are tuning in but with three consecutive losses haunting him Diaz isn t interested in any participation awards.

I m doing well though as far as this being a job versus the other guys that are out there Diaz said. So yeah I m happy I guess to put on a show for these fans. So I don t know what to make of it right now. I don t know what people think either.
