KITTERY Maine A juvenile received serious injuries after falling into a campfire Saturday afternoon police said.
Ted Short the police chief for Eliot and Kittery said in an e mail that police and firefighters were dispatched to Cutts Road late Saturday afternoon after a juvenile tripped and fell face first into the fire. He said two juveniles had started the fire which began to grow out of control.
Emergency responders took the youth to Portsmouth Regional Hospital. Short said the juvenile was later taken to a Boston area hospital for additional treatment. He said police are looking into the possibility of charges for an unpermitted fire.
More information was not available as Short did not return requests for additional comment.
