The suspected overdose death of actress Drew Barrymore's half sister Jessica Barrymore may be linked to her startling weight loss in recent months her brother told the Daily News.
She d lost like 100 pounds grieving sibling John Barrymore 60 said in an exclusive interview. She might have been estimating (the amount of drugs) she should take based on her old weight.
As The News first reported John Barrymore does not believe his paternal half sister was on a suicide mission before two strangers found her lifeless in a parked Toyota Camry blocking their driveway in National City Calif. on Tuesday.
The 47 year old Barrymore had vodka methamphetamine and various pills in her car the brother revealed but was likely the victim of a drug misadventure. He said there s been no mention of a suicide note and he ll be shocked if one surfaces.
Pills were scattered on the passenger seat and she had a SoBe energy drink between her legs a witness told ABC 10News.
It s possible the energy drink and methamphetamine were too much and gave her a heart attack but I think it was the alcohol plus the narcotic painkillers the brother said.
The Petco worker was found about 40 miles south of her San Diego County residence with no obvious ties to the street where she died authorities said.
