A documentary that aired over the weekend on Discovery's Animal Planet has raised new questions over the existence of mermaids.
Aptly titled Mermaids The New Evidence the series examines the myth and the rumors surrounding these aquatic hominids. It is a follow up to 2012's Mermaids The Body Found.
The program netted record ratings for the network despite The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration stating that no evidence of these creatures has ever been found.
