In true Bachelorette fashion Andi Dorfman's reality tale ending came with delusions of grandeur for one of her contestants the lukewarm approval from her parents for another a couple of crocodile tears from a few handsome men and finally the brunette lawyer being whisked away by the love of her life.
Dorfman's drama of having to choose between her final two suitors Nick Viall and Josh Murray heightened into intense meetings between the bachelors and her parents.
While Nick appeared to win over Dorfman's mom and dad Patti and Hy almost immediately and walk out of their exchange with enthusiasm Josh walked in wearing almost the same outfit as his potential fiancee's dad. Awkward. He left declaring Andi is my wife even though it appeared her parents were concerned about his resemblance to her ex boyfriend. In most situations not a good sign.
The dates proved to forshadow the end. In their final romantic one on ones in the Dominican Republic Dorfman 27 ends up handing Josh a baseball card with her name changed to his last name reading Andi Murray a sure sign she's already made her choice. If that wasn't enough on her date with Nick the brunette beauty is less than forthcoming and more so polite.
Javier Pesquera / ABC The pair are set to marry in their hometown of Atlanta Ga.Sealing the deal Nick gets the visit to end all visits later on. Instead of meeting a jeweler at his door to pick out a ring for his future bride Dorfman delivers the news herself that she didn't feel it with Nick when she woke up that morning.
It's not what I envisioned. It's not right. Today isn't right she tells him.
Cue his tears his feelings of being led on and a rainy departure as he cries in an SUV.
Javier Pesquera / ABC In this week's dramatic conclusion Andi Dorfman gave her final rose to Josh Murray in the season finale of 'The Bachelorette.'Her choice is clear. Josh the former pro baseball player and his giant Neil Lane diamond get the girl in the end. Dorfman accepts his marriage proposal saying she'd loved him from the beginning.
Andi you are the answer to all of my prayers you are the answer to my dreams you are the woman I thought never existed in this world Murray told her. All my worries they just seem to vanish when I'm with you.
And with those words the world was hers and she was set to marry the man from her hometown of Atlanta. It was reality fate and the end of the 10th season of The Bachelorette.
I am madly in love with you and you're it she told Josh. You're the one that I want to spend the rest of my life with and I want to have babies with.
But after the show during the After the Rose finale Nick apparently wasn't throwing in the towel without a fight. He tried to confront her much to everyone's surprise and even revealed he felt led on because he and Dorfman did fiance things in the Fantasy Suite.
Looking back Dorfman's competition has seen its ups and downs with the brunette lawyer's brood of potential husbands and even heartbreak for the show as one of them Eric Hill tragically died in a paragliding accident shortly after he was eliminated.
