A derecho and swept from the Midwest to the western Great Lakes Monday bringing devastating wind gusts at least 7 tornadoes and heavy rain into Illinois Iowa Michigan and Nebraska. The storms are blamed for at least four deaths.
17 year old Logan Blake was found dead on Tuesday after being swept into a flooded storm drain in Cedar Rapids Iowa on Monday night KWWL reports. 14 year old Daniel Holbrook in Winona Lake and 64 year old Larry Davisson at Big Long Lake were killed early Tuesday morning in Indiana by falling trees brought down by strong winds according to the Associated Press. Another man was killed southwest of Cedar Rapids Iowa when a building collapsed under heavy winds.
Several people were injured during a minor league baseball game at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids when they were trying to put the tarp over the field according to KCRG.com.(MORE What Is a Derecho )
Below is a state by state rundown of the areas already affected by this severe weather outbreak.
IllinoisThe National Weather Service has confirmed that at least 3 EF 1 tornadoes touched down one near Earlville in LaSalle County one in Kendall County and another in northeast Plainfield and northwest Romeoville in Will County.
Flood warnings have been issued for the Chicago area and areas across northern and central Illinois. There were localized road closures in the Chicago area.

In western and southern Illinois there is a flood warning along the Mississippi River due to backwater. The Rock Island Argus reports residents in one East Moline neighborhood were asked to evacuate late Monday night because of significant flash flooding.
Two rounds of severe storms moved across the region late Monday and the weather service says it will likely take several hours for the water to recede.
Hundreds of flights were canceled or delayed throughout the day at Chicago's O'Hare and Midway airports.
Commonwealth Edison reported more than 142 000 customers in Cook County alone were without power early Tuesday.
A second line of thunderstorms behind the derecho intensified as it moved from Iowa into Illinois and became extremely powerful as it crossed the southwestern suburbs of Chicago. A Weather Underground personal weather station in Romeoville recorded an 85 mph wind gust at 10 07 p.m.

The Morris Daily Herald said 85 to 90 percent of the city of Morris including its hospital was without power late Monday evening after powerful storms knocked down hundreds of trees.
The storm also forced postponement of Monday's Angels White Sox game in Chicago.
IndianaTwo northern Indiana people killed when storms with winds of up to 60 mph toppled trees onto homes have been identified.
Kosciusko County Coroner Michael Wilson says 14 year old Daniel Holbrook died in Winona Lake when a large tree fell on a mobile home. One other person at the home suffered minor injuries and two others were not hurt
LaGrange County Coroner Jeff Helmuth says 64 year old Larry Davisson of Wolcottville died of blunt force trauma after a tree fell on his home at Big Long Lake about 35 miles north of Fort Wayne about 2 a.m. Tuesday.
The Weather Service says an EF 1 tornado with winds estimated at 95 mph touched down just west of the town of LaGrange about 1 30 a.m. Tuesday and traveled for about 1 mile uprooting and snapping trees and causing minor damage to homes.

Utility crews are making progress restoring power to more than 100 000 homes and businesses across northern and central Indiana that lost power overnight.
By midmorning Tuesday four of Indiana's largest utilities reported about 128 000 homes and businesses still without power down from nearly 150 000 outages reported at daybreak.
The National Weather Service says high winds knocked down trees tree limbs and power lines across parts of northern and central Indiana and there were widespread reports of property damage.
Northern Indiana Public Service Co. reported about 78 000 of its customers without power as of 9 30 a.m. while Indiana Michigan Power had nearly 34 000 customers in the dark. Indianapolis Power Light reported about 13 000 outages and Duke Energy had nearly 3 000 customers still without power.
IowaOn Tuesday rescue crews recovered the body of 17 year old Logan Blake who was swept into in a Cedar Rapids storm drain after heavy rainfall flooded the system on Monday night.
Violent 80 mph winds brought by a derecho left more than 95 000 customers without power. CBS 2 in Cedar Rapids says the storms left damage in just about every neighborhood. Images show large trees down on homes and vehicles as well as entire structures blown over.
4 tornadoes were also confirmed in Iowa. EF 1 tornadoes touched down in Adair Madison and Benton County near Urbana. An EF 2 tornado was confirmed in Tama county.
Governor Terry E. Branstad issued a proclamation of disaster emergency for Black Hawk Iowa Jackson Johnson Louisa and Muscatine counties.

Violent winds brought trees down onto this vehicle in Cedar Rapids Iowa.
Several employees and stadium volunteers were hurt during a minor league baseball game in Cedar Rapids. KCRG.com reports they were trying to roll the tarp over the field when the wind knocked people onto the ground and then pushed the tarp on top of them. At least three reportedly sustained concussions while the assistant general manager dislocated his shoulder.
In the community of North Liberty which is northwest of Iowa City at least one person was hospitalized when the person was trapped under a tree. No word yet on the severity of those injuries.
Earlier in the day a possible tornado was reported near Stuart. Damage to houses and other buildings were also reported in Warren County as storms moved through the area.
In western Iowa late morning storms dropped giant hail up to 4 inches in diameter in Rockwell City. Harlan reported 3 inch diameter hail slightly larger than baseballs.
The hail in Harlan punched out car windows and even left small craters in a family's backyard garden according to Omaha television station KETV.
Gov. Terry Branstad has issued a disaster proclamation for Adair Cedar Guthrie Jones and Linn counties. Branstad's proclamation Monday means state resources can be used to respond to ongoing flooding and severe weather.
The derecho came one day after severe weather produced heavy rain and wind gusts of up to 70 mph. A highway in Fairfax partially collapsed and the driver of a truck was injured though additional information was not available. Part of a highway near Mount Vernon also partially collapsed.
MichiganTrees lay toppled Tuesday across parts of Michigan by severe early summer thunderstorms that also knocked out power to more than 230 000 homes and businesses.
Storm debris damaged property and blocked some streets in western Michigan while heavy rains flooded roads in some places. Widespread tree damage was reported in Calhoun County and a falling tree struck a firefighter who was helping others.
A large maple tree also fell onto Darcy Osborn's home in the Kalamazoo County village of Vicksburg the Kalamazoo Gazette reported.
We were yelling 'Maya Maya ' as plaster was falling down around her head Osborn said of her 12 year old daughter who slept through the storm unharmed.
A pine tree was nearly uprooted in Brock Goff's front yard. A dying tree split and fell there.
I was just hoping the house wasn't coming down. It felt like the house was moving Goff told the newspaper. That wind was really whipping.
Electricity to his home and much of the village also went out.
As of late Tuesday morning about 219 000 customers across the state remained without power. DTE Energy said it was restoring service to about 130 000 homes and businesses. Consumers Energy said about 60 000 were without power down from 70 000 earlier. Indiana Michigan Power had 29 000 Michigan outages.
MissouriAn isolated thunderstorm produced a tornado near Gilman City in the north central part of the state Monday afternoon.
A tornado warning was issued for parts of the Kansas City metropolitan area around 9 30 p.m. Central time. There have been no confirmed reports of tornadoes but the storm knocked down a number of trees onto cars in Liberty just northeast of downtown Kansas City. Part of a roof was blown of an office building in the suburb according to law enforcement officials.
NebraskaA severe thunderstorm caused some damage in rural northeast Nebraska Monday morning but mostly avoided the area around Pilger that was hit hard by storms earlier in June.
The National Weather Service says the storm destroyed some outbuildings and damaged at least one home in Pierce County just northwest of the town of Hadar.
Emergency management officials reported a tornado as the storm moved across Pierce County.
The storm also generated hail up to 1.75 inches in diameter near Pender and Walthill.
But the storm stayed north of the Stanton County town of Pilger that was heavily damaged by a tornado on June 16.
WisconsinCrews are working to restore power to thousands of customers left without electricity after storms battered southern Wisconsin.
At least 115 000 customers of Milwaukee based We Energies were without power at the peak of the outage.

Michelle Carolla ( MichelleCarolla) June 30 2014We Energies spokesman Rick White says power has been restored to more than 80 000 customers but about 36 000 customers were still without electricity Tuesday morning.
White says Monday's storm damaged 29 power poles. He calls it the utility's worst outage in a decade.
Across the rest of southern Wisconsin Madison based Alliant Energy says about 1 500 customers remained without power early Tuesday down from a high of 10 000.
