It s the only holiday that celebrates something that hasn t happened yet. Yes tomorrow marks the first day of May and today we ve occasion to party because today it s gonna be May.
It s Gonna Be May Day is a very special holiday. Scientifically it is the only day of the year where our proximity to the month of May is the closest it will ever be yet still possesses the unique property of it not actually being May. It was going to be May for the better part of the year but today especially and for the last time until next year it s gonna be May.
People around the world today are gearing up for both National Pet Month and National Hepatitis Awareness Month as we wait for the fifth month of the year to arrive. Soon May will be here and symbolize the arrival of spring in the Northern Hemisphere and fall in the Southern Hemisphere. Today we honor the anticipation of both International Laborers Day and Memorial Day. We are prepared for May and before long we will be in the thick of its sweet embrace.
Not now of course but very soon.
In this moment though It s Gonna Be May Day is a celebration of everything the future holds a holiday dedicated the the inexhaustible possibilities of life. Here s a toast to what s next. Let s dance.
