Watch NBA Draft Through Eyes of Victor Oladipo With Sweet Google Glass Video

It's best to enjoy the NBA draft with a little perspective so how about taking a gander at the proceedings through Victor Oladipo's point of view

The Verge has a full report on an exciting day chronicled by Google's newest venture. Oladipo who would later get selected by the Orlando Magic with the No. 2 overall pick captured nearly every moment of his momentous day with Glass.

From getting dressed in his slick suit to hanging out with some very nervous future rookies fans get a very real sense of what the draft is like for a young man about to have his life completely changed.

Not that everyone was amused.

Before the draft started an apparent league official kindly asked Oladipo to remove his glasses bringing an innovative way to capture the night's proceedings to a screeching halt.

If you are looking for reasons why the NBA would frown on Google Glass being worn throughout the green room your guess is as good as mine.

The Verge was unable to procure an answer. I assume there are strict rules about overt product placement following a draftee up to the very visible podium once selected.

There may also be issues with networks who paid a good amount of money for draft coverage only to have truly captivating video surface over social media spheres.

Either way this may be the last we see Glass this close to the draft. According to the glowing review given by Oladipo this won't be the last we see of the product in and around the NBA though.

If NBA stars can wear glasses without lenses to the podium you can bet they will wear these technological specs in due time.
