Houston s offensive stars running back Arian Foster and wide receiver Andre Johnson haven t been very productive in the Texans first three games of the year. Foster has rushed for a single touchdown and Johnson has been limited to under 200 yards total from 16 receptions.
That s not a huge problem for the Texans because J.J. Watt has emerged as the team s best defensive and offensive player. In the third quarter against the Bills Watt picked off a short pass from quarterback E.J. Manuel and nobody was quick enough to catch him. Watt caught Manuel s pass at the Texans own 20 yard line and sprinted 80 yards to the endzone.
Two weeks ago against Oakland Watt caught a short touchdown pass on a goal line play while lining up as a tight end. He joined an elite club with his second TD of the year Sunday.
