Dwyane Wade Kobe Bryant in same backcourt Lakers reportedly have interest ...

Kobe and DWade in the same backcourt It apparently could happen if only for a year.

Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix cited sources as saying that there is mutual interest between Dwyane Wade and the Los Angeles Lakers should the 11 time all star opt out of his contract in Miami.

Wade 33 a 12 year veteran is due to make $16.1 million next season if he exercises his option with Miami. But Wade reportedly wants a raise and a long term deal and there's much talk that he may leave.

Both the Heat and the Lakers missed the playoffs this season.

Lakers General Manager Mitch Kupchak has said 17 time all star Kobe Bryant told him he plans to play one more season. Bryant led the Lakers to five NBA titles but has seen his last three seasons shortened due to injuries.

Wade helped the Heat win three NBA titles one with former Laker Shaquille O'Neal in 2006 and two with LeBron James in 2012 and '13 before James went back to Cleveland this year.

Wade's father Dwyane Wade Sr. showed up at an event recently wearing a Cavaliers T shirt but said on the internet radio show The Hot Corner that he hopes his son will stay in Miami.

The best answer I can probably give to that is you guys have had DWade ever since he came in the league let's just pray with God that he stays here the rest of the way Dwyane Wade Sr. said.

Wade meanwhile is apparently taking this business decision seriously. According to CBSSports.com and other outlets he took a four day executive education program at Harvard this month called The Business of Entertainment Media and Sports.
