Holly Sonders was one of the more notable aspects of FOX s coverage of the US Open.
The former Golf Channel personality was hired by FOX Sports to be a part of the network s expanding coverage which included broadcasting the US Open this year. She received plenty of camera time throughout the tournament as the reporter who interviewed golfers following their rounds.
Sonders who played golf at Michigan State was most notably on camera to interview Jordan Spieth after he captured the major. She was criticized for her two question interview one of which was about whether or not he had an outfit in case it went to a playoff Monday.
After receiving some negative feedback Sonders responded on Twitter.
And for those of u hating on my interview w/ Jordan..It's appropriate to end with a smile. He's the US Open champ Lighten up folks )

Aside from the interview with Spieth others complained about Sonders outfit which included a short skirt and golf shirt not your traditional reporter wear but the sort of thing you d see on the course.
In a past interview with Golf Digest Sonders explained her style.
I dress the way I dress because style is very important to me. I love being a girl. You can be a pit bull competitor. You can want to kick people s asses in every sport but you can still be feminine and still be sexy.
Sonders questions with Spieth certainly weren t the best but when you re given such a limited time to interview someone it s hard to really get in depth so we ll cut her some slack for it.
