PHOENIX Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch s standoff with the Super Bowl media corps continues.

Lynch arrived to his team s scheduled Wednesday media session a required event for all players and coaches to discover a large horde of cameras and reporters waiting for him. The crowd was so large that Super Bowl public relations staffers moved Lynch from a small table to a podium previously reserved for center Max Unger.

But the change of venue didn t change Lynch s approach.

Lynch sat at the podium for about five minutes during which time he was peppered with questions.

I m still the same person I was yesterday Lynch said as he sat down. I ve got the same thing I had for you yesterday.

The questions Lynch faced on Wednesday ranged from football related topics to several pointed queries about why Lynch doesn t like to speak to reporters. One reporter even pointedly called Lynch a jerk. Some questions Lynch ignored completely. But most he answered with the same line You know why I m here.

Of course the reason Lynch was here was to prevent the NFL for fining him for failing to adhere to the league s media rules. Lynch has previously been fined $100 000 for failing to speak with reporters.

NFL spokesman Michael Signora said the league has no comment about if Lynch s five minute session on Wednesday and a similar session during Tuesday s Media Day in which he answered nearly 30 questions with the response I m here not to get fined met league rules.

But even if the league does find Lynch in compliance with the media rules he could receive a fine anyway for his choice of head gear.

Lynch for the second consecutive day wore a hat that bears his Beastmode logo an item that is not licensed by the NFL.

Rebecca Otto a spokesman for Lynch s agent at Relativity Sports told For The Win in an email that they haven t heard yet on the fine. Signora did not respond for a request to comment about Lynch s apparel.

Uniform violations will be reviewed after the Super Bowl.

It wouldn t be Lynch s first wardrobe issue. He was prevented from wearing special gold cleats in the NFC Championship game and he has been fined at least twice for uniform violations related to his shoes in the past.
