PHILADELPHIA After missing out on Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota the Eagles selected USC wide receiver Nelson Agholor.

He was born in Nigeria His father Felix played high level soccer there. The family moved to the United States when Nelson was 5. Nelson is the fourth of five children. Nelson's family moved from Lagos Nigeria to New York and initially planned to live in Maryland. But they instead moved to Tampa Fla.
He mostly played running back and defensive back in high school But he blossomed as a receiver at USC. As a high school senior he carried 212 times for 1 983 yards and 28 touchdowns but had just 10 catches. His career high school stats 4 732 rushing yards 921 receiving yards 12 interceptions and eight kickoff returns for touchdowns. Still Rivals rated him the No. 3 receiver nationally in the recruiting class of 2012.
He excels as a punt returner In three seasons at USC he returned 37 punts for 540 yards (a 14.6 yard average) and four touchdowns including two last season. He did not return any punts as a freshman in 2012. He ranked 19th nationally in punt return average in 2014 (10.4) and second in 2013 (19.1).

He made 104 catches for 1 313 yards and 12 touchdowns. No other USC player had more than 54 catches 724 yards and five touchdowns. In the final seven games last year Agholor had 62 catches for 908 yards and eight touchdowns.
He was just as effective as Marqise Lee in 2013 As a junior Agholor made 56 catches to Lee's 57 but Agholor averaged 16.4 yards per catch compared to Lee's 13.9. Lee was the No. 39 overall pick last year by Jacksonville. Agholor had six touchdown catches in 2013 compared to Lee's four. But Lee did play in three fewer games than Agholor.
