Mexico are out of the Copa America after a 2 1 defeat to Ecuador in Group A at the Estadio El Teniente.
La Tri took the lead shortly before the half hour mark as Enner Valencia crossed for Miller Bolanos to tap in from close range.
The same duo combined to devastating effect shortly after the break but this time Bolanos turned provider as he slipped Valencia through on goal and the striker coolly slotted it in.
Mexico were handed a lifeline when they were awarded a penalty which Raul Jimenez scored but they struggled to apply any late pressure and slumped to defeat.
