She candidly spoke about her history of self harm and depression as a teenager in a new interview with Vogue magazine.
And just hours after the shocking confessions were revealed Cara Delevingne appeared slightly downcast as she left her London hotel with Paper Town co star Nat Wolff and close pal Clara Paget on Friday evening.
Making her way towards a private party at Suki Waterhouse s home the 22 year old star still managed to look every inch the supermodel in a tight black jeans and a matching blouse.

Keeping her head down Cara Delevingne looked downcast as she stepped out in London on Friday evening after shocking revelations of her troubled teen years in Vogue were released
Covering up in a dark Varsity style jacket Cara accessorised her get up with grey high top trainers while drawing attention to her striking facial features with a bold red lip blush tinted cheeks and defined eyes.

The interview in the July issue of Vogue sees Cara confirm for the first time that she is in a relationship with singer/songwriter St Vincent real name Annie Clarke whom she's been virtually inseparable from for the past few months.

Busy Over the past few days Cara had been hard at work promoting her new film Paper Town
Keeping his cool Nat 20 is said to have become good friends with Suki Waterhouse after being introduced by his co star Cara
But the 22 year old who has previously dated actress Michelle Rodriguez admits that it hasn't been easy for her or her family to come to terms with her bisexuality.
'I think that being in love with my girlfriend is a big part of why I'm feeling so happy with who I am these days. And for those words to come out of my mouth is actually a miracle ' admits the model adding that past heartbreak finally forced her to confront her feelings.
'It took me a long time to accept the idea until I first fell in love with a girl at 20 and recognised that I had to accept it.'

According to the interview Cara's parents believe her relationship with women may be just a phase and the model herself is wary about her connection to other females.
She declared 'Women are what completely inspire me and they have also been my downfall. I have only been hurt by women my mother first of all.'
Cara's mother Pandora has struggled with a relapsing heroin addiction for many years with the one time London socialite and daughter of Princess Margaret's lady in waiting currently working on a memoir about her own time in the spotlight in the 1980s.
Cara and her sisters fellow model Poppy 29 and Charlotte 30 grew up in the affluent Belgravia area of London with Pandora and their dad Charles a property developer.
While Cara admits her sisters embraced their privileged upbringing among society greats and celebs (Cara's godmother is Joan Collins) she rebelled by smoking pot in an effort to escape her problems at school due to her dyspraxia diagnosis and her struggle with depression.

At 15 she says her anxiety and depression reached a peak admitting to self harming.
She was prescribed a mixture of psychotropic drugs and therapy sessions but says nothing really worked.
The beauty dropped out of school and followed older sister Poppy into modelling but it's only in the last couple of years that she's found passion for her work.
Partying drugs and coming close to suicide plagued her early career years with the star now admitting that she considers modelling as simply a stepping stone to her real passion acting.
Cara is about to hit the big time on the big screen with seven movies due to be released over the next year including her first lead role in next month's Paper Towns an adaptation of John Green's bestselling YA novel which is hoping to replicate the success of last year's The Fault In Our Stars another Green to screen adaptation.

When she's not busy on the Toronto set of her other major movie the DC Comics blockbuster Suicide Squad Cara has been spending much of her time with St Vincent supporting her girlfriend at her recent gigs while the 32 year old musician has been her plus one at fashion events.
Up until now Cara and Annie have refused to speak out on their relationship but the Brit model appeared to confirm the relationship in April this year just days after the couple made their public debut at a fashion party in Los Angeles.
Fans of the catwalk beauty began to speculate her romance was on the rocks after a series of cryptic and markedly heartbreak related posts were shared on her Instagram page.
But Cara was quick to shoot down the rumours tweeting 'I am very much in love'.
To celebrate Cara's first solo Vogue cover the magazine asked a host of her famous friends as well as her family members to participate in a YouTube video.
Family Cara had a privileged upbringing with her property developer father Charles and mum Pandora pictured together in February last year

Singer Taylor Swift gushes 'Everyone loves Cara. She's a genuine person.'

Meanwhile Ben Stiller sent a congratulations message as his Zoolander character Derek.
