GoDaddy's puppy commercial for Sunday's Super Bowl was so controversial and disliked the company pulled it under pressure from animal rights groups. That was the right decision even though GoDaddy got a ton of free publicity for the screwup (and a ton of negative emails as well).
Supposedly GoDaddy was attempting to parody a Budweiser commercial about a lost puppy. But whoever gave GoDaddy the green light on that advertisement should be seeing red today. And looking for a job. That person had terrible judgment as shown by the immediate negative reaction to the ad.
Budweiser as we've seen in past Super Bowls does puppy commercials right. And the brewery hits a home run again this year.
Check out Budweiser's answer to GoDaddy. It sets the right tone and will of course leave puppy lovers (and aren't we all puppy lovers except go GoDaddy ) with that warm and fuzzy feeling.
Enjoy
