Take a deep breath. Scandal returned on Jan. 29 and totally blew season four out of the water. Kerry Washington pulled off her best acting to date. Shocking details about Olivia s kidnapping were revealed and Jake (Scott Foley) ran around in his underwear. It was such a blessing to us all.
Scandal Recap Gone GirlOkay here s my first question Where in the world is Olivia I ve had this same question for two months.
Well Scandal told me right away. I wasn t prepared.
Olivia was first seen running down a sketchy hallway with a gun in her hand. Her hair was all out of whack. Then the scene cut. WHAT
Scandal flashbacked to just moments before Olivia got kidnapped. There was Jake beer wine and Gettysburger. They were dancing and getting ready to do the deed on the piano. That s when the kidnapper busted in and grabbed Olivia.

But that wasn t the end of this incredible opening. In another view of the kidnapping Gladiators learned that Olivia was just in the other apartment It wasn t just one kidnapper it was an entire operation.
Jake you were right there Olivia always thinking ahead left her special ring behind under the rug.
Scandal Recap Escape PlanDead Percy from Grey s Anatomy was one of Olivia s kidnappers. Dead Percy and the rest of the gang took Olivia away in a faux ambulance. The worst part about it was they put Olivia in a body bag beneath her dead neighbor.
No one treats Olivia Pope like this and gets away with it.
Olivia woke up in a cell and she had a cellmate named Ian. I m pretty sure he said his name was Ian McKellen like the guy from The Hobbit. He was a total wimp but Olivia worked her Olivia Pope magic on him and gave him some will to survive.
As she went to the bathroom she eyed the gun and keys on one of the kidnappers. She had Ian check for a tracking device on her body. She mentioned to Ian that President Grant would be coming for her any minute now. He would be looking anywhere and everywhere for her. Olivia gathered more clues every single bathroom break. She found a window and used her bra wire to open it. Before she could escape her kidnapper came in. They fought for a hot minute and she was thrown back in her cell.
The kidnapper wanted to kill her but Dead Percy reminded him that wasn t part of the plan. Instead they took Ian and killed him.
Scandal Recap Locked Up AbroadAfter the horrific events of the day before Olivia found herself depressed. She woke up and heard a helicopter. Soldiers flooded the cell and there was JAKE
I ve got you Jake told Olivia as he carried her away. Swoon.
But wait she woke up in a bed and showered with Fitz I m so confused right now. They are in Vermont. There s jam and he s the mayor. This is an Olitz fans dream. So what s the problem
Oh yeah it was a dream.
Tom and Abby were present in her dream life to serve as her conscience. Abby told Olivia that she had to save herself. No one else could help her at this point.
As much as I would love to watch Olitz live their dream life in Vermont there s questions to be answered.
Olivia gave the bra wire trick another go. She was so ready but the boys closed up the window. This was a devastating moment for all. She cried but as she dried her eyes she noticed the nifty tool that was present in her dream with Abby.
She knocked her kidnapper out with a pole and took his gun and keys. Before she could escape through the big red door she ran right into Dead Percy. He didn t think she had the balls to shoot him but Olivia hit him right in the middle of his forehead.
Dead Percy became Dead Dead Percy.
Olivia finally made it past the door but there was IAN. He was behind it all They weren t even in a real dungeon/torture chamber. It was a soundstage Excuse me I m going to need a minute. Or ten.
He revealed that the information she gave him about the President was golden. That was what he wanted to hear. They weren t even close to being finished either. Ian had found Fitz s Achilles heel and he was just getting started.
